Word Formation Processes

Every living language adds new words in itself regularly. Similarly old words are left behind, and new meaning is generated for old words as well. There are a number of processes which can be used to enter a new word in a language. These slides discuss the processes of word formation at a beginners level. The book used is The Study of Language by George Yule.
